Learning At The Potter's Wheel is a collection of articles on home, family, marriage, parenting, natural medicine and herbs. . . along with a few other items of interest. Have fun sorting through my junk drawer of assorted thoughts and ramblings.

The Potter has persisted in giving me treasures I don't always understand or appreciate. Patiently, He is teaching me to trust that all I really need to know is that I am in HIS hands. . .

This simple latch fits over the top of most interior home doors. The only hardware to install is one simple screw. Such a simple way to insure the safety of little ones that are big enough to know how to walk through a door, but not yet wise enough to know what's safe!

Didn't expect this one to live up to the hype, but this is a GREAT way to get little ones (and big ones) to lend a hand in the kitchen without sacrificing a finger! Just take the time to make thick slices of cleaned and/or peeled veggies/fruit and let 'em at it. Uniform cubes are made without little fingers needing to be near the blades. You don't have to redo the work or review knife safety every time you need a little assistance.

All you need to create extra shelf space are several of these plastic crates and some zip ties. They are sturdy and light weight. I used some to create shoe caddies! Easy to move and rearrange to suit your needs without spending a bundle. I wouldn't use them for glass or heavy metal items, but for sorting and storing items efficiently you can't beat these. AND it gives you the freedom to change the design as it suits your taste!

Whether you are arranging your storage crates, keeping cords organized, or any other number of assorted uses, zip ties are sturdy and convenient to use.

Another find I didn't expect to live up to the hype. Actually, they didn't! They were better. The microfiber brushes are designed to DUST floors, but don't let that put you off. These things are WONDERFUL mops! Sweep your floor, put these on and spritz problem areas while you wipe the floors clean. Scrub molding & under cabinets with the same eas you'd reach with your foot. No more bending down to wash the base of the toilet at the floor, just pour your cleaner on the floor and reach around with your foot. The bottoms peel off and go through the water just fine. Let them air dry (these aren't made for the drier). LOVE these!
